Bowhunting Organisation (ABO)
The African Chapter of IBO, the ABO, was established in 2005 with the aim of
seeing that bowhunter education and 3D archery expand and flourish. ABO
promotes the interest of bowhunters and regularly holds archery competitions,
where archers shoot at 2D targets with field points. ABO developed the
Certificate of Proficiency (COP). The COP is a self-study course designed to be
implemented as a minimum standard in bowhunting.
ABO is 'n boogjagorganisasie wat boogjagters se belange bevorder. Die
organisasie reël boogskietkompetisies waar die deelnemers na 2D-teikens skiet
met "field points" of teikenskietpunte. Die ABO is verwant aan die IBO of
International Bowhunting Organisation in die VSA.
